Amanejena Marrakech

Inspired by the rose-hued buildings of old Marrakech, palatial Amanjena is close to the fabled Red City, set in its own expanse of gardens and grand open spaces. Shaded courtyards with fountains lead to the central basin, bordered by spacious standalone Pavilions & Maisons, many with private pools. Views stretch across the olive groves and palms of the oasis, extending to the High Atlas Mountains on the horizon.

Accommodation

Amanjena’s exceptionally appointed Pavilions and Villas are cool, elegant dwellings with Berber carpets scattered over zellij-tiled floors and domed-ceilings creating a contemporary Moroccan ambience. Away from the bustle of the fabled red city of Marrakech, the sound of running water in fountains soothes from the shaded comfort of private outdoor courtyards. Several also offer private heated pools.

Dining

Savour authentic local dishes or seasonal Italian plates at the Restaurant, or delight in exquisite Japanese fare at poolside Japanese Grill. Close to Marrakech, our restaurants are open to hotel guests and visitors. Private dining experiences can be arranged in a host of atmospheric locations on and off the property.

The Restaurant

At the heart of earthen-walled Amanjena lies a courtyard restaurant that celebrates the diversity of Moroccan cuisine, blending Berber, Andalusian and Mediterranean influences that have evolved through the ages. With caramel-coloured walls and candle-lit tables, the Restaurant evokes the atmosphere of the Medina in an authentic homespun setting, enlivened by local musicians, who set the soundtrack to evening meals beside the central fountain.

The menu includes delicately spiced tajines, decorated with almonds, prunes and apricots, alongside other Moroccan dishes, such as briouate puff pastries and slow-cooked mechoui lamb. Additionally, indulge in a richly seasonal menu of hearty Italian plates, lovingly crafted by Italian Chef, Francesco Balloo, offering an array of choices to suit every palate.

Centred around a charcoal-fired robata grill, expert chefs illustrate the far-reaching power of Japanese fare. As aromatic smoke from the grill drifts skyward, let authentic yakitori, ramen, tempura and more transport you to the Land of the Rising Sun.
